Black Country Buffets

Ordered a buffet for my 60th birthday party, it was delivered on time and with no issues at all. Food was lovely and fresh, especially liked the little quiches and egg mayo sandwiches. Everyone said how nice the food was. Highly recommend.

Our first time using Black Country Buffets, and it certainly won’t be our last! From start to finish, the service was outstanding. They were extremely prompt and helpful when responding to our queries before booking, and the ordering process was simple and straightforward. The food was absolutely amazing, beautifully presented and thoroughly enjoyed by all our guests. The staff were professional, friendly and accommodating, patiently waiting for the tables to be set up before arranging the buffet to ensure everything was just right. We genuinely couldn’t fault a thing. It’s fantastic to support a local business that clearly takes pride in what they do and goes above and beyond to deliver such an excellent service. Great food - not much good at anything else. A nice homely website, for Black Country Buffets which offer 'Funeral Catering', theoretically perfect for my mother-in-laws wake. Placing an order. However from trying to contact anyone on the website, I got no email reply, and so I made a phone call the next day, to be told that my enquiry would be e-mailed on! Well odd, but that seemed to be ok, as I got an email asking when would be a good time to phone me - anytime after 3pm the reply ..... but no call...nothing. Next day I made another phone call. A different receptionist, who answered the phone call with "ASJ Catering". Turns out that Black Country Buffets is a part of that much larger company. After explaining that we were now at day 3 she eventually said someone would contact me. As days had now elapsed, since my first enquiry and calls to other caterers were met with, "sorry, 'fully booked' "replies, I was getting concerned - not what you want at this difficult time. That nice homely looking website didn't match the service I was getting. So I was on the 'Sainsbury's Food made to order' website, when 'Ash' phoned Ash explained that they were really busy.The nice people on the Black Country Buffets website were busy working at ASJ catering. I did feel reassured, to be finally getting somewhere. So the straight forward order - exactly as on the website was made verbally and paid for. The Delivery. On the day - the food arrived almost an hour early. Luckily, we were back from the funeral 10 minutes before-hand. No paper plates nor napkins though. So I had to nip up the local Coop. The Food. Some of the boned chicken was luke-warm, but the rest of the food was really, really good, as other reviewers had said. Afterwards. Chatting to the delivery lady, I said that I could return the trays etc as I would be in Netherton the next day. She said, "I'll be there until 12:00. So at 11:00 the following day I buzzed the office from behind a huge metal gate. " Hello, I've come to return some trays from a buffet yesterday" "Do you have an appointment?" "No, I was told I could just drop off the trays" "No entry without an appointment". "Is there another building? Google maps shows ASJ Catering and Black Country Buffets as 2 seperate units" "I don't know anything about that, but you absolutely can't come in." I didn't want to go in. I understand about security needs and so on. I just wanted some-one to take the trays off me (as agreed). "Give me your contact details and I'll get someone to call you" I did. But I've heard that before. Maybe they will send some-one for the trays. Maybe....I wont let them in. If only I could have ordered exactly what was on the website, actually on the website. I'd be happy to attend an event with Black Country Buffets / ASJ Catering providing the food in future. Just so long as I didn't have to have anything to do with them directly.

Well what more can I say other than we were totally blown away with the service of Black Country buffets, from the moment we booked any queries I had were answered immediately. The food was amazing and plenty of it, they catered for 100 people and it was totally spot on, quality and freshness on a scale of 1-10 would definitely be a 10. I would recommend this company 100%

I ordered a funeral buffet menu for my dad's wake recently, and it was absolutely perfect. Everyone at the wake enjoyed it and even took some home. They delivered it before we arrived and was all ready for us when we got there. It was one of the things I was worrying about the most about the funeral, but they certainly delivered. Should I need to order catering in the future, it will definitely be with them. Thanks so much. Bit confusing at first if you call them, as they are called ASJ Catering, so I thought I called the wrong number, but BCB is just a trading name of ASJ.

I ordered sandwich and wrap platters to my home where I held a surprise tea party for my Mum's 75th birthday. Communication was good and the platters were delivered on time. They were presented beautifully and there was a lovely selection of fillings. Great value for money and would highly recommend.

Ordered a small buffet for 10 people. Great communication very friendly professional people. AND the buffett WOW it was absolutely amazing. So fresh four different sandwich fillings, pork pies, and a sausage rolls, chicken bites, salad, crisps and a cake and fruit platter

Price was really good and food was great plenty of it as well everyone said how nice it was even took some home with them would definitely have them again and would recommend them to anyone
